Information on the current situation at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Ukraine

According to information received from the International Atomic Energy Agency, a fire broke out at Ukraine's Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant following fighting in the area in the night to 04 March 2022.

At 6:20 am, the fire had been extinguished by Ukrainian units of the State Emergency Service. According to the Ukrainian nuclear supervisory authority, the systems and components that are important for the safety of the nuclear power plant are functional. All radiological readings at the power plant are within the normal range.
