The container exhibition organised by the Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BfE) is once again attending many major events all over Germany in 2019.

The tour starts in Winnenden in Baden-Württemberg on 4 May. It then continues to Saxony-Anhalt, Berlin, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Thuringia and Schleswig-Holstein. Other dates are being planned and will be published on this site.

The last nuclear power station in Germany is due to go offline at the end of 2022. But what do we do with the entire radioactive legacy from the nuclear age?

The BfE is providing information about one of the most responsible national environmental projects in the coming decades – the search for a disposal site for high-level radioactive waste – using a multimedia exhibition supported by employees from the federal authority.
