    AI is everywhere: AI applications can translate texts and recognise images. AI is intended to diagnose illnesses and detect credit fraud. What does AI mean for nuclear waste management? The Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management (BASE) is looking into this question.

    BASE expert discussion: Alternative disposal options

    Around 100 participants discussed alternative disposal options for high-level radioactive waste on 11 May 2022 - both online and at BASE in Berlin. The Federal Office for the Safety of Nuclear Waste Management had invited recognised experts from the scientific community to take part in the expert discussion.
